Mike's Handymen Entry Level Carpenter / Installer in Midland, Michigan
Hours/Schedule:
- Full Time 32-40 hours per week
- Monday -- Friday
Pay Rate:
- Based on experience and qualifications
Requirements:
- Valid drivers' license and reliable transportation
- Currently have or willing to get class c (chauffeur) or higher driver's license
- Submit to and pass a background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle check
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication & interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work from heights
- Have an aptitude for building and working with your hands
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Arrive on time to each project site
- Load and unload necessary equipment and materials
- Clean up job area, keep truck organized and clean, maintain shop cleanliness
- Maintain records of job time and materials used
Work with a lead carpenter to:
- Alter, repair, and construct a variety of building structures such as walls, doorways, window casings, decks, trim, and cabinets
- Construct, remodel, repair and install cabinets, Install floor, ceiling and wall coverings
- Install doors, windows, cabinets, trim, locks, siding, roofing, decking and paint
- Adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges, and closures
- Training may also include light electrical, plumbing and equipment work
