Description

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to join our team in Milford, Connecticut. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity within the financial services industry. You will be primarily tasked with managing accounting functions, maintaining data processing systems, and overseeing accounts payable operations.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage accounting software systems to ensure smooth and reliable operations

• Supervise the account coding process to maintain accuracy and compliance

• Oversee the Accounts Payable (AP) function, ensuring all financial transactions are processed accurately and on time

• Perform regular auditing tasks to identify and rectify any discrepancies

• Utilize the Concur system for efficient management of accounting tasks

• Maintain and update accurate customer credit records

• Monitor Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions for accuracy and timeliness

• Handle accrual accounting tasks, ensuring all financial records are up-to-date

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently

• Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally.

Requirements • Position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a related field.

• Candidate must possess strong skills in Account Coding.

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems is essential.

• Knowledge and experience with Concur is a must.

• Ability to efficiently handle Data Processing tasks is required.

• Comprehensive understanding of general Accounting Functions is necessary.

• Demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is vital.

• Familiarity with Accrual Accounting principles is needed.

• Experience in Auditing procedures is crucial.

• Proficiency in Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions is expected.
