Statement of Purpose: Under the supervision of the Lab Support Manager, the primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following areas: oversight and management of phlebotomy staff, Lab Support Coordinators, Hill Lab Support staff, and phlebotomy per diem pool; work with Coordinators and Co-Supervisors to schedule personnel; performance evaluations of Support staff including any disciplinary actions; work with Lab Managers in a team approach; assist with writing of, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for phlebotomy staff; hire and train new employees; maintain a safe work environment
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Equivalent to a B.S. degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Medical Technology to be qualified for ASCP registration is preferred.
Certification / License: Phlebotomy training required; ASCP or eligible; valid Driver’s license
Experience: 5 – 10 years phlebotomy experience preferred; 1-2 years managing or supervisory experience preferred.
