Job Description
As an Assembler, you play a crucial role in the team by providing labor, parts, service, and goods to other team members and departments. This is key and very important in the remanufacturing process of transmissions. You will perform a wide variety of duties, along with specific tasks assigned by the manager or supervisor, being helpful, organized, and fulfilling requests to ensure daily demands are met and processes run smoothly within the department.
Responsibilities
Perform a wide variety of assembly duties.
Provide labor, parts, service, and goods to other team members and departments.
Assist with specific tasks as assigned by the manager or supervisor.
Maintain organization and fulfill requests to ensure daily demands are met.
Contribute to the smooth running of processes within the department.
Essential Skills
Assembly experience.
Manufacturing experience (1 year required).
Proficiency with hand and power tools.
Mechanical aptitude.
Automotive experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with repair and blueprint reading.
Familiarity with assembly line operations.
Knoweldge in the automotive industry.

Work Environment
The work environment is a shop setting that may smell like oil or transmission fluid, be dirty at times, and have slippery areas. The facility is climate controlled year-round and located in a restructured Walmart. There are multiple lines dedicated to specific business needs, including Lines A & B for different transmissions throughout the day and the 6L Line for remanufacturing GM 6L transmissions. The position operates on the 1st Shift from 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday. The dress code includes steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
