JOB REQUIREMENTS: Superintendent II (Milwaukee) Milwaukee, WI, USA Req #363 Friday, June 14, 2024 With offices in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Ohio, Pepper Construction is a national general contracting and construction management firm that primarily serves the private sector. Pepper Construction provides clients the experience and resources of a national company, combined with the hands-on approach of a local company. Superintendents are responsible for the overall direction of safe field operations, completion schedules, and labor budget outcomes of their construction projects. He/She will direct and supervise all Pepper Construction field personnel and all subcontractors on the jobsite effectively to bring the project to a successful completion that delights the customer. Our Superintendents establish a positive and effective work relationship with the project team members (Project Manager, Owners, Architects, and Subcontractors). Site Management: Model safe behavior and require it of all parties on the jobsite Plan and schedule projects, including short-interval schedules Schedule manpower and develop a working budget based on the estimates and project schedule Control job progress by managing subcontractors, solving problems and conflicts, using proper documentation, quality control, and safety control techniques on the job Control project costs by weekly evaluation of labor, material, and equipment costs, adjusting to ensure a fair profit while maximizing customer satisfaction foremost Demonstrate superior construction process knowledge People Management: Ensure customer satisfaction by recognizing and meeting the client\'s needs Provide leadership through team building communications, motivation, confidence, good judgment, and listening to others Manage and mentor other Pepper Construction employees Ensure that all parties know the importance of safety on the project and educate all that need it Position Requirements: Bachelor\'s degree in construction management or equivalent knowledge through construction supervision experience Previous experience managing commercial construction projects \$10M or larger Flexibility to travel to Madison occasionally Pepper Construction is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
