This research study will follow a cohort of diverse families (n=250) with preschool aged children in the Twin Cities area. Adults whose primary language in Spanish will be included in the study, therefore, candidates with fluency in Spanish are encouraged to apply. The Data Collectors time would be split between data collection and participant recruitment and retention As the incumbent will also be performing data collection, having evening and weekend availability is required. Job Responsibilities: 60% Data collection: Collect research data from participants, both in-person and virtually. These visits will be scheduled around the family's availability. 25% Support Recruitment: Make recruitment calls, prepare recruitment materials, and schedule research visits. 10% Administrative Roles: Organization of files, data entry, phone calls, attending meetings, assisting with study protocols. 5% Translation of data collection materials: (e.g., surveys) into Spanish, if applicable and other duties as assigned. Expected Starting Salary Range: $21.63 to $22.39hr depending on qualifications and experience. Qualifications Required Qualifications: High school or GED diploma. Ability to work evening hours and weekend hours, a minimum of 2-3 evenings per week. Demonstrated computer skills using Microsoft Office. Demonstrated effective communication skills (verbal and written). Excellent interpersonal skills. Self-starter. Excellent organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience participating in data collection for research, including recruitment of participants, survey research and collection of participant height/weight data. Experience working with young children. Interest in research related to family and child health. Spanish fluency and ability to translate materials into Spanish, strongly preferred.
