Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for Paralegal position located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The selected candidate will be contributing significantly to the personal injury team by managing case files, scheduling hearings and depositions, and preparing for mediations and trials. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment and develop your skills in a wide range of legal functions.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and organize case files to ensure their accuracy and accessibility.
• Schedule hearings and depositions in a timely manner.
• Arrange medical exams and collect medical records as needed.
• Compile information for mediation and trial booklets.
• Prepare for mediations and trials by gathering and organizing necessary materials.
• Perform eFiling tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Communicate effectively with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical professionals.
• Use software such as Adobe Acrobat, LexisNexis, and Microsoft Excel to manage cases and perform billing functions.
• Handle complaints and claim administration professionally.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by the attorney.
Requirements
• Must possess at least 2 years of experience working on the plaintiff personal injury side
• Familiarity with Case Management Software is necessary
• Experience with LexisNexis and other legal research platforms
• Experience with a Management System will be advantageous
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
• Must have experience with E-Filing
• Experience in Calendar Management is necessary
• Must have handled Claim Administration in previous roles
• Proven experience in handling Complaints in a legal setting is required
