Job Duties/Responsibilities: Research Management and Implementation (60%) *Manage planning, designing, implementing, and overseeing research projects with direction from PI. *Design and implement lab-wide community engagement initiatives, including developing partnerships with key stakeholders. Assist PI in overseeing lab staff who will assist in implementing community engagement initiatives. *Assume primary responsibility for organizing and facilitating all activities related to the lab Patient Advisory Board. *Design research protocols and collect data, with an emphasis on qualitative research conducted in the lab. For example, lead focus groups/qualitative interviews and use qualitative analysis methods to interpret data. Assist PI in overseeing lab staff involved in these research tasks. *Other tasks as assigned. Preparation of Lab Research Products (20%) *Prepare manuscripts for publication and drafting of grant proposals. *Create community-facing materials to disseminate information about lab activities, including webinar content, flyers, newsletters, etc. *Create and present materials to a variety of professional and community audiences to facilitate research recruitment, participant engagement, and dissemination of research findings to key stakeholders. Laboratory Leadership and Support (15%) *Design and implement lab-wide operational systems to facilitate research projects and lab efficiencies. *Contribute to guiding, training, and mentoring lab staff and assist PI and Lab Manager with decisions related to task delegation. *Lead lab trainings and provide ongoing supervision to staff in topics related to research conduct, community engagement, and human subjects research. *Other tasks as assigned. Regulatory Management and Documentation (5%): *Adhere to local and federal policies for conducting research and documentation of study activities. *Preparation of IRB protocols and creation of study Standard Operating Procedures as needed. *Other tasks as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications: *Advanced degree with 1 or more years of research training. *Prior experience designing and implementing research studies involving community-engaged research methods.
