SENIOR DIRECTOR OF STATIONARY EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE AT PRIMEFLIGHT

The Senior Director of Stationary Equipment Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operation of all stationary equipment (baggage handling conveyor system and passenger boarding bridges) across multiple airport sites. The role involves strategic planning, team management, and coordination with other airport departments and customers to maintain a safe and efficient operational environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all stationary equipment at multiple airport sites

· Coordinate and oversee routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs

· Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards across multiple locations

· Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians and staff across both sites

· Provide training and development opportunities for team members

· Conduct performance evaluations and manage staffing needs at both locations

· Monitor equipment performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency at both airports

· Manage the procurement of parts, tools, and supplies needed for maintenance activities

· Develop and manage the maintenance budget for multiple sites

· Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and in compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements

· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance

· Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments at multiple locations

· Develop and implement emergency response plans for equipment failures and other emergencies

· Coordinate with airport operations to minimize disruptions during maintenance or emergencies at multiple sites

· Plan and oversee capital improvement projects related to stationary equipment

· Coordinate with contractors and vendors for major repairs and installations

· Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget at multiple locations

· Foster strong communication and collaboration between the maintenance teams at both sites

· Standardize maintenance practices and protocols across multiple airports to ensure consistency

· May be assigned other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

· 18 years of age or older

· Eligible to work in the United States

· Bachelor’s degree preferred

· Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in an airport or similar environment, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role

· Strong knowledge of HMIs, PLCs, HVAC systems, generators, and other stationary equipment

· Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

· Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents 

· Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means

· Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus

· Ability to work and support an 24/7 operation including holidays

· Pass a background check and drug screen

· Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Postal- as applicable) Bachelor’s degree preferred

· Excellent leadership and team management skills

· Travel requirement >50% travel between airport stations and for meetings

· Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

· Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.

· Experience managing multiple sites

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY/WORKING CONDITIONS MAY INCLUDE: 

o Ability to lift up to 25 pounds or more

o Position is generally sedentary, sitting for long periods of time

o Prolonged standing and walking in an indoor/outdoor environment as applicable

o Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms

o Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)

o Tasks may involve repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers

o Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to high noise, dust, and extreme temperatures
