Alerus Financial Loan Documentation Commercial Specialist in Minnetonka, Minnesota

Description Position Summary: The Commercial Loan Documentation Specialist is responsible for the fulfillment of commercial loan documents. This position will have the knowledge of regulatory requirements along with performing the due diligence needed to ensure complete and accurate documentation. This position will maintain a client focus and will partner with Lending Specialists, Loan Servicing and other credit team members to deliver a superior client experience. Essential Responsibilities: Job Function 1: Commercial Loan Documentation Processing - 60% Prepare required loan documentation according to approval terms for new and existing commercial loans. Research requests in order to provide accurate documentation. Collaborate with Lending Specialist to bring to final form. Recognize product exceptions and collaborate with senior specialist or supervisor to resolve. Ensure timely delivery of complete loan package. Assist internal clients with product/documentation process questions. Manage specialized processes including, but not limited to HMDA compliance reporting. Job Function 2: Team Support - 25% Provide primary and backup coverage on processes, as needed. Participate in team meetings by providing insight, contributions and feedback. Create, update, and maintain written procedures in R&R database. Continually improve processes that enhance the client experience and build scale. Job Function 3: Professional & Personal Development - 15% Maintain an advanced level of knowledge encompassing all systems & process that pertain to the position. Maintain compliance with regulations, policies and procedures. Actively pursue continuing education, reading, and self-development to enhance skills. Complete regulation, compliance, and addition training as assigned. Build solid working relationships with team members, acting as a resource for others. Position Requirements: Qualifications: Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or related experience in the financial industry. High level of commitment to accuracy and detail. Excellent communication and client service skills. Demonstrate ability to manage high volume, time sensitive transactions and situations. Personal Characteristics: Positive client centric attitude. Commitment to continued learning Physical Demands - Must be met with or without a reasonable accommodation: Extended periods of time sitting at a desk and using office equipment. Ability to operate a personal computer/laptop for approximately 8 hours per day. Extended time is spent reviewing physical and electronic documents. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop. Periodically, may also do light lifting of supplies and materials which weighs in at approximately 20 lbs. Will spend most of time in an indoor environment. Ability to work outside of normal business hours for testing and project work as needed.
