Robert Half Financial Analyst in Mobile, Alabama
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst in the engineering and architecture industry, based in Mobile, Alabama. This role will involve working with the CFO and Controller to support our subsidiaries with their financial operations.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
• Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews
• Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
• Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures
• Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
• Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials
• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards
• Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools
• Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps
• Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is mentioned as a requirement
• Understanding of and ability to use Power BI for reporting and understanding reports. Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Accounting or similarly related field.
3-5 years of financial accounting or financial analysis experience preferred.
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office including Excel and Power BI.
Knowledgeable of structure and use of accounting systems.
Ability to perform mathematical computations quickly and accurately.
Proficient business writing, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to develop relationships across company departments and teams.
