Somni Tapas Restaurant and Bar Line Cook in Monroe, New York

Prepare menu of the day according to standard recipes/directions from Dietary Supervisor/Head Cook, proper oven and holding temperatures. Adhere to the Food sanitation Code for Food Preparation and Storage. Maintain a clean work area. Operate steam cooker, stoves, ovens, and other equipment. Report equipment repairs needed to the Dietary Supervisor/Head Cook/Food Service Director. Assume responsibility for cooking and supervision of the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor/Head Cook.

Greet and seat guests, take orders, and deliver food and drinks. Enter orders into the POS system and coordinate with kitchen and bar staff. Check on guests, address complaints, and provide menu recommendations. Clear and reset tables, maintain cleanliness, and restock items. Work collaboratively with staff and assist in training new servers. Adhere to restaurant policies, health, safety regulations, and legal requirements for alcohol service.
