Job Title:Maintenance Technician Intern
Job Purpose:Perform all tasks involved in the production of Jordan Manufacturing Company's products. Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as safe and efficient as possible. The Maintenance Technician Intern position is responsible for maintaining and repairing facility equipment and property structures.

Location:On-site at corporate headquarters in Monticello, IN

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of basic machinery, property, or product of Jordan Manufacturing
Proactively inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues to help inform for planning, scheduling, and executing the repairs necessary to solve the problem.
Inspect faulty equipment units and building structures safely, swiftly, and sustainably.
Perform regular maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, carpentry, and landscaping.
Inspect heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
Be a self-starter with the ability to work with a cross functional team to solve problems.
Be able to use basic hand tools and battery operated tools for repairs on racking and other areas.
Know how to troubleshoot and be able to communicate issues to others via email, phone, or in person to others.
Use eMaint as a tool for all repairs and PMS.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques
- Perform mechanical and pneumatic repairs and troubleshooting.
- Perform preventive maintenance on Jordan Manufacturing machines.
- Problem solving and versatility.
- Be self-motivated and be able to easily grasp complex documented procedures.
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Well organized with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Experience with basic building maintenance tasks
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with fork trucks a plus
Welding experience a plus
Working Conditions
Position is located in a factory setting.
Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and lifting throughout shift
Must be able to lift 50 pounds at one time.
Job Type: Internship
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
