Description:
The responsible will provide expert logistical support for material flow and asset movement across the globe.
They are the team that coordinate all asset movements and transfers for customers, to do so they need to:
• Provide expert logistics support for asset movements between strategic warehouse hubs and end-customers. They process shipments via ground and air methods of delivery not ocean. AOG cases are very urgent, therefore the Logistics & Support Specialist need to locate the closest warehouse with engine parts that needs to be replaced/repaired and have it shipped to customer in a very short window. Turn-around-times (TAT) are critical.
• They need to proactively coordinate shipping with suppliers and support logistics communication with customers. They need to make sure that they are always communicating follow up with internal team and customers. When items are being shipped they need to make sure that shipping instructions are correct and PO is approved for delivery.
• They are responsible for driving appropriate actions to minimize any transfer delays to customers. This means that they need to make sure that all documentation is properly completed so that no PO get blocked in customs. AOG issues are urgent, therefore if an item is blocked in customs, the client can loose a lot of money.
• They will be responsible for supporting inter-region transfer of assets located in the Americas, Europe, Africa or Asia. They need to organize delivery’s with DHL and ensure that all documents are completed properly.
• They need to be detailed oriented when reviewing, analyzing all tracking reports and making sure there are accurate for asset transfers.
Must Haves:
• Experience in global transport logistics - Air, Rail, Sea, Ground
• 2-5+ years in similar role, Transport Logistic Specialist (Freight forwarding or 3PL).
• Excellent English communication skills (French bilingual preferred)
• SAP experience
• Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUP)
Assets:
• VBA/Macro experience
• Experience using CRM dynamics
Experience in Aerospace/Automotive
Experience with logistic terminology: shipping docs, bill of lading, INCO terms, freight forwarding, B13 documents
