Jacobs is currently seeking a diligent, eager, self-motivated, detail-oriented tax professional to support our domestic and international tax function. As a Senior Tax Analyst, you’ll report directly to the Provision Manager and will collaborate with all members of the Jacobs global tax group. You’ll assist with accounting for income tax matters within the corporate tax department, prepare and maintain income tax accounting workpapers that support the quarterly and annual financial statement reporting requirements, and monitor potential income tax impacts of accounting standard changes. This is a U.S location flexible role.
As the Sr. Tax Analyst, you’ll:
Act as a key contributor in preparing the Company’s global tax provision and related financial statement disclosures.
Assist in supporting all facets of tax accounting under ASC 740 and the related SEC reporting requirements including the preparation of rate forecasts, domestic and foreign tax provisions, worldwide provision consolidation, and 10Q / K tax footnotes and disclosures
Assist with the preparation of the international tax provisions, including tax audit support
Assist in review of the tax provision calculation prepared by the local accounting teams to ensure compliance with US GAAP requirements
Reconcile global tax accounts on a quarterly basis
Assist with and initiate SOX control performance activities and testing of tax department controls
Assist with special tax projects related to mergers and acquisitions, international tax law changes, tax compliance, maintaining and documenting tax attributes, etc.
Support continuous process improvement, including the identification of opportunities to use technology to drive processes and controls towards best practices

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
At least 3 years of experience in Big 4 and public company corporate tax departments with an emphasis on accounting for income taxes (ASC 740)
Working knowledge and willingness to learn the area of accounting for income taxes
Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and changing priorities
Proven analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
Willingness to work collaboratively by incorporating diverse perspectives and willingness to accept challenging projects outside of areas of experience
Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team that contributes to a constructive work environment
Ideally, you’ll also have:
CPA or MST
Experience with tax software, such as CorpTax
Working knowledge of data analytic tools (e.g. Alteryx, PowerQuery, Pivot Tables/Slicers)
