Job Title: Sanitation Worker
Job Description
As a Sanitation Worker, your primary responsibility will be to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of industrial equipment and facilities to ensure a bacteria-free and contaminant-free environment. Your tasks will include using tools like shovels, rakes, hoses, brooms, and brushes to clean stainless steel equipment and concrete floors. You will inspect your assigned area to ensure thorough cleaning, operate steam cleaners and foamers to apply cleaning solutions, maintain and repair or replace personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed, and assist other sanitation workers. Additionally, you may be involved in moving wheelbarrows, bins, and totes weighing up to 50 pounds safely and assisting in grounds keeping, mowing, and garbage removal when necessary.
