Winn Telecom Outside Plant Manager in Mount Pleasant, Michigan
Winn Telecom, a subsidiary of Peninsula Fiber Network, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Outside Plant Manager. As an Outside Plant Manager, you will oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of our telecommunications network.
The Outside Plant Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of fiber optic network deployment projects, including construction, installation, and growth activities for residential and business customers. Additionally, the Outside Plant Manager will be responsible for managing the existing fiber optic plant to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to the Mount Pleasant area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with department leads to oversee all aspects of fiber optic network deployment projects, including construction, budgeting, resource allocation, and scheduling.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the company's telecommunications network, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
- Define project scope and goals, set and track milestones, assign team priorities, and provide regular updates to executive management.
- Ensure projects are completed in compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards, including safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Conduct detailed reviews of service disruptions, including trending and root cause analysis, to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Provide strong top-down support for individual development and team building initiatives.
COMPENSATION/BENEFITS
Winn puts great value in the Outside Plant Manager position by offering a competitive annual salary range of $90,000-$110,000 commensurate with experience. Winn also offers excellent benefits including a 401(k) retirement plan with company contribution, insurance including health, dental, vision, and life, paid holidays, and paid time off.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of experience installing and maintaining telecommunications networks required, bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Complete understanding of OSP, Engineering, and Construction of Fiber Optic Systems supplying residential and business broadband services.
- Knowledge and understanding of fiber testing, specifications and analysis required, *direct experience with RUS specifications and contracts for rural telecom preferred.*
- Must be willing to travel as needed (up to 30%).
- Must demonstrate strong leadership and analytical reasoning skills.
