Robert Half Payroll Supervisor/Manager in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina

Description

We are seeking a part-time Payroll Supervisor/Manager to join our team in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. The individual in this role will be largely responsible for managing a variety of human resources and payroll related duties, including but not limited to, benefits administration, handling PTO requests, and coordinating travel arrangements for employees. This position is contract-based and requires the ability to work 15-20 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the processing of payroll for 53 employees

• Administering benefits, including 401k, FMLA requests, and medical benefits renewal

• Processing PTO requests and managing open enrollment periods

• Coordinating travel arrangements for employees

• Maintaining relationships with external vendors, such as cleaning services

• Managing key fobs and access for employees

• Utilizing Paycom software to efficiently perform accounting functions and data processing

• Conducting audits to ensure compliance and accuracy in payroll and benefit functions

• Coordinating with the team on accounting software systems and full cycle payroll processes

• Handling multistate payroll and travel coordination as necessary.

Requirements • Extensive experience in managing payroll functions in a manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in accounting software systems and data processing

• Solid understanding of accounting functions and auditing processes

• In-depth knowledge of benefit functions and compliance requirements

• Familiarity with Paycom software and full cycle payroll

• Experience in handling multi-state payroll and payroll for under 100 employees

• Ability to coordinate travel and manage open enrollment processes

• Strong leadership skills to supervise and guide the payroll team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
