1-800 Radiator & A/C is the largest provider of automotive cooling products in the country and one of the largest independent auto parts wholesalers. Our products include automotive cooling parts (radiators, air conditioning, fans), fuel management parts, starters, alternators and batteries.
We are seeking a field sales person for our Westchester County, Bronx and Manhattan territory. Our location is locally owned and you will be reporting directly to the owner. You’ll also be collaborating with a team of peers focused on helping our customers succeed in their small businesses and providing our broader community with high quality auto parts. You will have a sales book of 500+ customers to work with, influencing their buying decisions, and troubleshooting their problems as they occur every day.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Visit with targeted customers identified by our CRM and explain the unique value proposition of our company
- Overcome customer objections to purchasing using thorough knowledge of industry, competition and marketplace
- Share customer feedback with your manager and team to improve customer service
- Intelligently use promotional materials to boost sales
- Identify top potential accounts and create and execute plans to deliver business results
- Coordinate sales strategy with your manager and team to ensure a pleasant customer experience
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to perform customer service well
- Demonstrated ability to work with a team of fellow employees
- Ability to speak, read and write in English
- Ability to use iPad / Android tablet for data entry and video calls
- Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of automotive aftermarket business, especially prior work experience in automotive retail or wholesale environments
- Knowledge of the commercial vehicle parts business
- Experience in objection handling
- Personal vehicle and willingness to drive in Westchester County, the Bronx and Manhattan
- Ability to speak, read and write in Spanish
