Google Hardware Integration Engineer, Extended Reality Platform in Mountain View, California
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
6 years of experience in embedded/mobile system design, hardware architecture, board design, board bring-up, product NPI and product shipment.
Preferred qualifications:
PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with architecture and schematic design of circuit boards, including chipset, memory, high-speed communication interfaces, and wireless communications.
Experience in Python, C++, and Linux environments.
Knowledge if one or more of the following areas: USB, DDR, PCIE, RF, UWB, power analysis, MIPI, audio amplifiers, sensors.
Ability to operate characterization equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, meters, RF test equipment, temperature chambers, power supplies, electronic loads, DMM.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$258,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Own and lead development hardware design of AR platform reference designs, including developing schematics and driving layout for AR/VR platform designs.
Gather requirements, define high level architecture, execute hardware design and product validation.
Work with engineering, product, and deployment teams on platformization of designs and field support for partners.
Drive product from concept to platform hand off to partners.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on reviews, system bring-up, troubleshooting, failure analysis, validate fixes, and design optimization.
