Intuit Time and Labor Law Compliance Analyst in Mountain View, California

Overview

As a Compliance Analyst for Time & Labor Law Compliance within QuickBooks, your primary role will be to oversee and maintain compliance with all time and labor laws and regulations. You will be responsible for ensuring that QuickBooks enables employees to be paid accurately for the hours they work, that overtime policies are properly followed, and that all records related to time and attendance are kept up-to-date and accurate. Additionally, you will work closely with HR and Payroll product teams to identify areas for improvement and provide guidance on how to maintain compliance with both federal and state laws related to time and labor law.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field or equivalent relevant experience

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in compliance, preferably with a focus on time and labor law

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state laws related to time and attendance, including FLSA regulations and state-specific requirements

  • Experience with QuickBooks or other payroll-related software

  • Experience translating federal and state compliance laws into software requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

How you will lead

  • Develop a knowledge base of labor laws across all jurisdictions and countries we serve (federal, state, local), leveraging available databases, electronic service, and machine-learning technologies to define the compliance rules to be used in QuickBooks products.

  • Work with the product management and legal teams to ensure compliance rules are properly implemented in the product, that we are validating and flagging compliance events for customers, and enforcing appropriately.

  • Monitor and assess the ongoing compliance with time and attendance-related laws and regulations

  • Provide guidance and support to HR and payroll product management teams on compliance issues related to time and attendance

  • Review and analyze data related to employee time and attendance to identify trends, compliance issues, and areas for improvement

  • Collaborate on educational content to help employees comply with time and attendance policies

  • Work with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
