Robert Half Payroll Clerk in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina

Description We are in search of an organized and meticulous Payroll Clerk to join our team in the legal industry located in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity and will require the successful candidate to work fully onsite. As a Payroll Clerk, you will be responsible for handling various accounting functions, managing payroll through Paycom and Excel, and utilizing different accounting software systems like Dynamics 365.

Responsibilities:

• Handle payroll functions using Paycom and Excel, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

• Utilize accounting software systems such as Dynamics 365, IBM AS/400, and Kronos Timekeeping System

• Manage accounts payable (AP) and benefit functions

• Process check payments accurately and in a timely manner

• Maintain and update accounting records, ensuring they are accurate and up to date

• Utilize accounting skills to manage various accounting functions

• Resolve any payroll-related inquiries and issues

• Monitor and maintain the ADP - Financial Services

• Utilize Ceridian for various payroll functions

• Manage timekeeping through the About Time system. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems • Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services • Experience with Ceridian • Knowledge of IBM AS/400 • Experience using Kronos Timekeeping System • Proficiency in About Time software • Strong understanding of Accounting Functions • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processing • Understanding of Benefit Functions • Experience in Check Processing • Experience using Paycom • Prior experience in a legal environment is a plus • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly • Ability to work independently and in a team environment • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
