Job Title: Diesel Mechanic
Job Description
Perform routine and non-routine maintenance activities and service on mobile equipment.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all mobile equipment used in an underground and surface mining environment.
Equipment includes, but is not limited to, drills, bolters, haul trucks, graders, dozers, tractors, light vehicles, and forklifts.
Responsibilities
Perform routine and non-routine maintenance activities on mobile equipment.
Service mobile equipment in an underground and surface mining environment.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain drills, bolters, haul trucks, graders, dozers, tractors, light vehicles, forklifts, and other equipment.
Ensure the proper functioning of diesel engines and perform necessary repairs.
Conduct diagnostic testing and troubleshooting to identify mechanical issues.
Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed.
Maintain and repair fleet vehicles, including suspension and trailer repair.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in diesel maintenance and repair.
Strong understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
Experience with diesel engines and engine repair.
Ability to perform diagnostic testing and troubleshooting.
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work on various mobile equipment.
Welding and fabrication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
AA or Certificate in Automotive or Diesel preferred but not required.
Experience with industrial equipment maintenance.

Work Environment
- Work in both underground and surface mining environments. Rotating 12-hour shifts with a 4 on 5 off, 4 on 5 off, 5 on 7 off schedule.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $83200.00/yr.
