_Division Profile:_ Wealth Management Client Segments (WMCS) is a division within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management that encompasses our Advisor, Workplace and Digital Direct business lines. The overall goal of WMCS is to seamlessly serve our clients across all channels to ensure we are meeting them wherever they are on their financial journey, supporting their growth, and deepening relationships over time to ultimately drive growth and innovation across our channels. The individual businesses within this division include Field Management, Private and International Wealth Management, the Direct and Institutional Businesses (including Morgan Stanley at Work), Client Solutions Group, Virtual Client Solutions, Virtual Engagement Associate Program, Client Segment Risk, WM Marketing, and Analytics.

_Position Summary:_

We are seeking an experienced Executive to lead our new Client Segments function in Mumbai, India. This individual will be responsible for buildingout, leading andmanaging the function, ensuring effective risk management practices, regulatory compliance, and adherence to internal policies and procedures.

_Key Responsibilities:_

Key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Lead the set-up, expansion, and management of the function, including recruiting, training, and onboarding of new staff
  • Sourcing and hiring of personnel and Infrastructure roles in partnership with Recruiting and the Client Segments Organization
  • Ensures quality service within SLAs to internal clients (i.e., Service Managers and Segment Managers)
  • Maintains appropriate staffing levels (recruiting, hiring, reassigning at peak times, etc.)
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes and adapt strategies accordingly
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and guidelines governing the function and its operations in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Identify and develop areas for improvement including system enhancement, process controls to improve the throughput, quality of work, supervisory reviews
  • Ensure staff receive appropriate training & development, assist in developing training plans &provide coaching where necessary
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Act as point of escalation for issues from Wealth Management Client Segment Management and the Service Center and assist in any appropriate issue-resolution needs

_Experience:_

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree will be a plus
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in Wealth Management operations or related roles in the financial services industry
  • Experience with global equity plans, complex plans such as restricted stock units/awards, swaps/reloads, performance vesting/awards, etc.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and senior stakeholders
  • Relevant certifications are desirable
