Bentley Systems Product Specialist in Mumbai, India

Location: Mumbai, India (Hybrid)

Position Summary

As a Product Specialist, you will serve a vital role as a MOSES and OpenWindPower expert who prepares the necessary content and datasets, delivers presentations to users and potential users to showcase product capabilities, understand their requirements, and articulate this knowledge to the rest of the organization.

By developing a unique relationship and understanding of both the offshore structural analysis products and solutions as well as the user needs, the Product Specialist plays a key role in our ability to use that knowledge in Bentley’s sales team, user services, and product development team (Account Advancement and Product Advancement teams).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical liaison between the sales team, user services, and product development team.

  • Create effective presentations and demonstrations that illustrate the capabilities, workflows, and value of Bentley’s offshore structural analysis products to users.

  • Develop and prepare datasets for user presentations and demonstrations.

  • Engage directly with users to conduct discovery sessions and define requirements.

  • Develop content (i.e., videos) that can be delivered in one-to-one or one-to-many modes.

  • Deliver presentations and provide support for corporate sales and marketing events.

  • Contribute to written proposal development and submission.

  • Prepare, recommend scope of services, and deliver training for users.

  • Provide timely feedback on user interactions to improve sales and marketing efforts.

  • Prepare and deliver relevant feedback to the Product Advancement team to improve our products (from product issues to user needs).

  • Work with the Product Advancement team to stay up to date with current releases of Bentley applications.

  • Creating bug reports, ensuring accurate reproduction/root-cause analysis, and collaboration with Product Advancement on fixes.

  • Collaboration with Product Mangers/Architects, Developers, and Project Managers as well as peers in the test organization.

  • Understand offshore structural analysis methodologies by industry and make product and solution recommendations.

  • Stay updated on offshore industry trends and competitor offerings to give your presentations and content a competitive advantage.

  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements). The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the company in person, and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling, and meeting functions across all time zones.

  • This role requires 20% travel.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture or a related discipline from a reputed local/international institute with 2-5 years of experience in research, design, installation, or operation of floating systems.

  • Sound grasp of engineering concepts like static & dynamic analysis, non-linear analysis, finite element analysis, etc.

  • Experience with offshore engineering design and analysis software like MOSES, Maxsurf, SACS, SESAM, WAMIT, NEMOH, Orcaflex etc.

  • Familiarity with offshore design codes and standards.

  • Any programming experience and knowledge of Software Quality Assurance practices would be an added advantage.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, technical analysis, and problem-solving skills.

  • Outstanding speaking, presentation, and demonstration skills.

  • Ability to explain complex topics to audiences of all levels of knowledge and seniority.

  • Team-player with strong collaboration skills.

  • A self-directed learner who is adaptable and detail oriented.

  • Ability to assess and isolate problems leading to root cause.
