At Communications Construction Group as an Aerial Cable Foreman you will provide guidance and coordinate the activities of an aerial line construction crew, as well as document the work performed by assigned crew members; ensuring that the installation, maintenance, and/or repair of customers telecommunications equipment is completed safely, timely, and accurately

    What you’ll do as an Aerial Cable Foreman

  • You will install and repair aerial telecommunications cable

  • You will safely use hand tools and equipment such as; wrenches, drills, ladders, lanyards, saws, lashers, climbing hooks, and more

  • You will safely operate mechanized equipment such as; bucket trucks, digger derricks, excavators, and more

  • Ensures plant construction meets industry standards, is technically reliable and performed in timely and cost-efficient manner

  • Assist in the training of inexperienced employees to become lineman

  • You will safely work aloft using climbing hooks and ladders

  • You will maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures and policies

    What you’ll need

  • To be 18 years of age or older

  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Previous experience as a cable/telecommunications lineman

  • Ability to perform all duties in telecommunications construction (such as; pole transfers, maintenance builds, new build, cable installation, over lash, and strand construction)

  • Prior experience working in a bucket truck and climbing poles

  • Ability to climb utility poles and work in a bucket truck and work aloft and climb poles up to 40 feet

    Physical abilities & exposures

  • This role routinely requires extended periods of standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.

  • Also, working in inclement weather conditions, such as extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind.
