Job Summary and Qualifications
Position Responsibilities:
Completes annual review of emergency manual.
Completes annual review of Engineering department policy and procedure manual.
Completes annual review/update of personal MSDS log sheet.
Maintains full compliance with OSHA lock out/tag out, and utilizes PPE.
Incurs one or less callbacks per month.
Ensures timely use of department in/out personnel board.
Labels equipment out of service and informs staff of back up equipment in a timely manner.
Properly operates and responds to use of pager/two way radio in a timely manner.
Submits daily work sheets in the required time frame.
Completes and documents overtime and attendance log sheets on a daily basis.
Labels equipment out of service and informs staff of backup equipment in a timely manner.
Completes timely/accurate work orders for accounting charges.
Ensures twenty-four hour shift coverage by coordinating staff schedules.
Schedules State inspections of boilers to ensure license renewal.
Actively trains boiler plant staff in daily operations and use of new equipment to ensure efficient operation.
Responsible for ordering all equipment parts and chemical supplies in a timely manner while maintaining budget awareness.
Responsible for assigned daily equipment operations.
Competently operates boilers and associated equipment including documentation.
Competently operates chiller and associated equipment including documentation.
Consistently follows assigned shift task for hospital vehicles including documentation.
Consistently follows assigned shift task for CTC pool operation including documentation.
Competently handles minor/emergency equipment issues and demonstrates good problem solving skills.
Competently performs PM on all boiler plant equipment as assigned.
Consistently performs chemical test on boilers, chillers, hot water reheat loops, cooling tower systems maintaining proper balance per vendor spec’s.
Coordinates technical equipment repairs with service companies and monitors quality of work to ensure reliability of equipment.
Consistently performs repairs and adjustments throughout hospital as requested preventing patient transfers.
Competently handles non-routine calls for assistance.
Performs additional P.M. duties as needed.
What qualifications you will need:
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Technical school training preferred
A current Tennessee driver’s license required.
Five years experience with high-pressure boilers and associated equipment required
Supervisory experience preferred.
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Drivers License
High School Graduate / GED
