Responsible for extracting and analyzing data from specific applications, systems and/or databases to create reports and provide recommendations based on the analysis of the data. Prepares plans or recommends solutions to new and complex problems, develops innovative strategies, quantifies the competitive performance of the organization's operations and/or markets, evaluates the potential impact of changes and reports on forecasts that affect the industry. May develop and conduct exploratory data analysis or predictive modeling.
As a Specialist, Data Analytics you will:
Responsible for analyzing data in response to new business requests, performing maintenance and changes on interfaces, and identifying and resolving data discrepancies across multiple business applications.
Work directly with the client user community and business analysts to define and document data requirements for data integration and business intelligence applications.
Develop SQL data models that leverage AT&T Data warehouses to pull the metrics and dimensions needed by clients.
Create storytelling visualizations in BI tools like Power BI or Tableau that will be leveraged multiple users across the company.
Adhere to and promote the use of data administration standards. Support data selection, extraction, and cleansing for corporate applications, including data warehouse and data marts.
Create and sustain processes, tools, and on-going support structures and processes.
Create and populate meta-data into repositories. May create data models, including robust data definitions, which may be entity-relationship-attribute models, star, or dimensional models. May also create data flow diagrams and process models and integrates models across functional areas and platforms.
Work closely with DBAs to transition logical models to physical implementation. May be responsible for employing data mining techniques to achieve data synchronization, redundancy elimination, source identification, data reconciliation, and problem root cause analysis. May also be responsible for quality control and auditing of databases, resolving data problems, and analyzing system changes for quality assurance.
What you'll need:
Education: Preferred bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Engineering, Math, or Sciences; Data Analytics or Business Analyst nanodegree; or equivalent experience
Experience: Typically requires 1-2 years’ experience.
Must be bilingual; fluent in English comprehension, speaking and writing.
SQL knowledge
Power BI or Tableau experience is desirable.
