JOB REQUIREMENTS: Senior Scientist - Materials - 871503 Summary of Position: The role requires knowledge of materials and the performance relationship between primarily nonwoven materials, absorbent garment performance, and fastening that attaches both parts together. Responsibilities include to identify customer needs for material solutions in both short and long term, work with GNW and external suppliers to identify and develop material solutions to meet those needs, prove technical feasibility, and move them towards commercialization. In addition, the role involves ownership for strategic material development plans, developing the work for a small cross-discipline team, and leadership for one or more technology programs. Responsibilities: * Collaborate with Product teams to understand business innovation plans. Utilize the business innovation plans to shape material strategies and then lead development within material space. * Collaborate with Personal Care IMF project teams and ensure development/commercialization work for general material innovation is effectively progressed. * Collaborate with PC R&E, Materials Value Stream, GNW, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Global R&E teams in order to understand opportunity areas to improve efficiency and effectiveness in delivering innovation.
