In this position, you will execute tests on different devices using your knowledge of standard references and testing methodologies, investigating and resolving critical product issues, optimizing processes and verifying product compliance. In this role, you will be coordinating and participating in lab activities to ensure compliance with design test specifications and generally accepted standards. You will also provide support for development efforts while ensuring protection of the test environment, including physical facility and staff. Performing various test engineering duties requiring the exercise of sound judgment and application of standard engineering principles and practices. Pursuing initiatives to improve effectiveness of the group and increase customer satisfaction.This is a position with global grade 16This position reports to Testing & Laboratory ManagerYour responsibilities Assist design engineers in development work evaluating components, prototype assembly and product verification testing Maintain and use test specifications to test products and prototypes. Be able to interpret results to verify that performance matches requirements. Check reasonableness, prepare and present test reports and maintain records Perform safety and EMC (Electromagnetic compatibility) certification tests to UL (Underwriters Laboratories), CSA (Customer Support Agreement) and IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) standards and create test reports for third party certifying bodies.
