OPmobility 3rd Shift Maintenance Supervisor in New Boston, Michigan

Maintenance Supervisor Job Summary Responsible for the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality to ensure that the customer's requirements are met on a timely basis with a manufactured product. Responsibilities •    Maintains safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures. •    Initiates, implements, and manages the plant maintenance activities •    Monitors the use of parts on machines and part inventories •    Establishes and maintains a computerized maintenance management system •    Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving plant •    Includes analyzing and reporting TPM, OEE and Downtime Data. •    Operations and solving maintenance-related problems. •    Supervises maintenance technicians. •    Conducts employee performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine competency, knowledge, and contribution of the maintenance technicians. •    Works with his Direct Manager and Training Coordinator to fulfill the needs of the plant and competency required by the Maintenance Technicians. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities •    Must comply with all safety rules and regulations •    Ability to work in a fast paced environment -- results oriented •    Ability to work 7 days a week/ 12 hours a day if necessary •    Strong organizational skills •    Ability to handle crisis situations and make good decisions in addition to your regular workload •    Must successfully complete all required training •    Must comply with and enforce all company policies and procedures •    Work requires walking, sitting, climbing, bending, stooping and standing. •    Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis •    May require working in high temperature conditions periodically LOTO Knowledge •    Has a technical knowledge on: electricity, hydraulics and pneumatics, with the ability to recognize and manage hazardous energy sources machine by machine. •    Experienced on BMM, Finishing Centers and Utilities. •    Full understanding of the LOTO concepts and its application: Method, devices, and instructions used to lockout / tagout machinery •    Choice of appropriate level of LOTO (when we have to apply complete LOTO, or partial LOTO or "door locked" only) •    Able to perform risk analysis before LOTO and work perform inside machines •    Ability to train and coach other technicians on LOTO and safe work practices •    Responsible to advise when standard work instructions are not covering a necessary specific activity •    Responsible to check the correct application of LOTO, in line with procedures •    Seek guidance from the LOTO Steering Committee for any concerns regarding LOTO Education and Experience •    Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience •    3 to 5 years supervisory experience of technical trades in automotive manufacturing •    Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship or transfer of Visa now or at any time in the future
