Robert Half Legal Assistant in New Lenox, Illinois

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Legal Assistant in New Lenox, Illinois. This role is in the legal industry and involves providing support in drafting and proofreading legal correspondence, preparing real estate closing documents, and managing calendars. The workplace is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring the application of various skills such as case management, LexisNexis, and Microsoft Office Suites.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and proofread legal correspondence to ensure accuracy and completeness

• Obtain necessary information and prepare real estate closing documents for residential properties

• Manage e-filing and opening of legal files to maintain organization and accessibility

• Draft commercial real estate agreements for lease, purchase, and sale

• Handle monthly billing and accounts payable processes to ensure timely payments

• Manage the office calendar and order necessary office supplies to maintain smooth office operations

• Utilize case management software for efficient handling of legal cases

• Use LexisNexis for legal research and document retrieval

• Manage complaints and documentation in accordance with legal standards

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suites for data management and presentation. Requirements • Proficiency in using Case Management Software for organizing and managing legal cases and client information

• Familiarity with LexisNexis for legal research and due diligence

• Experience with Management System for effective planning, organizing, and control of operations

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites for documentation, presentation, and email communication

• Familiarity with Billing Functions, including invoicing, payment tracking, and financial reporting

• Ability to perform Briefing duties, including preparing and presenting briefs

• Experience with Calendar Management, including scheduling appointments and meetings

• Excellent skills in Complaint Handling, including receiving, managing, and resolving customer complaints

• Strong Documentation skills for maintaining accurate and thorough records and reports
