Robert Half Tax Director/Manager - Corporate in New London, Connecticut

Description

We are in search of a dedicated Tax Director/Manager - Corporate to join our team in New London, Connecticut. This role primarily involves overseeing federal and state tax compliance cycles, identifying tax incentives, managing tax risks, and collaborating with various teams across our business sites.

Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the federal and state tax compliance cycle, ensuring smooth collaboration with external advisors and business sites

• Proactively identifying and maximizing tax incentives to benefit the organization

• Identifying and controlling tax risks early to prevent potential issues

• Handling Transfer Pricing and defending filed positions

• Collaborating with HR teams on day-to-day employment tax matters, including global mobility issues

• Coordinating with various business sites to establish a framework for compliance across non-Income tax areas, such as Sale & Use, Property

• Leading the end-to-end IFRS tax reporting cycle for the US, including preparing and sending tax packs to local sites, calculating the IFRS tax balances, and working with external auditors

• Building strong relationships with various finance teams, often remotely, to ensure success in this role

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in managing corporate tax departments

• Proficient in corporate tax return preparation and filing

• Expertise in ensuring corporate tax compliance

• Solid understanding of tax regulations and their application to corporate entities

• Strong leadership skills to guide and develop the tax team

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal stakeholders and external tax authorities

• Proven ability to develop and implement tax strategies that align with business objectives

• Ability to analyze tax-related issues and provide suitable solutions

• Proficiency in tax software and other relevant technologies

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree or certification such as CPA or MST is preferred.
