Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Newmarket, Canada team!
Senior Quality Assurance Engineers at the Curtiss-Wright Nuclear Canada Newmarket location develop, implement and maintains quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into finished products for projects related to the nuclear industry, which is a highly regulated industry. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, Sr., you must be familiar with planning, implementing, and managing compliance of production processes with internal and external safety, quality, and regulatory standards requirements for worldwide distribution. You will be responsible for the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products. You must rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. You will play a vital role within the assigned business segment supporting project schedules and customer deliverables. You will work in a team environment with the support and guidance of management. You will be responsible for completing project assignments in conformance with company procedures and policies to comply with customer specifications and industry standards.This position requires interaction with customers, suppliers, operations, and sales to support both domestic and international products and services.

Your Challenge:
Must assure compliance to CWNC Quality Management System, Customer purchase orders, and specifications and industry standards.
Prepare and provide product quality assurance documentation as required by customer programs and the quality management system.
Defines and develops quality standards for receiving, in-process and final inspection in accordance with company and contractual requirements.
Reviews and evaluates nonconformances and implements corrective action as needed.
Participates in and may lead audits.
Provides technical support to inspection personnel as needed.
Ability to follow and create work instructions.
Time management, multi-tasking, and communicating daily.
Work as a team member and participate in activities to improve operations and the facility.
Understand the workload and provide support as needed to meet business objectives.
Assists other personnel as required.
Work in a safe and efficient manner at all times.
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
Four (4) to six (6) years of related experience.
Familiarity with CSA N299, Quality Assurance Program Requirements for the supply of items and services for nuclear power plants and/or CSA N285, General requirements for pressure retaining systems and components in CANDU nuclear power plants.
Auditor experience preferred.
Excellent organization and communication (written and oral) skills.
Attention to detail.
Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office experience.
