Attention Radiology Technologists with multiple modalities - Full Time

The New Milford Hospital radiology team is growing and seeks an experienced Rad Tech 3 - this is a rare opportunity to join a passionate team of healthcare professionals that offer competitive pay, perks, benefits and SIGN ON BONUS! Summary:

Performs diagnostic radiographs of patients while maintaining patient safety.

Responsibilities:

  1. Introduce and greet patient.

  2. Responsible for the care and safety of patients.

  3. Instructs and prepares patient for xray and or fluoroscopic exam. Produces high quality xrays.

  4. Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions, and shields patient accordingly.

  5. Interacts professionally with patients and family.

  6. Practices medicine and surgical aseptic procedures.

  7. Proficient in either mammography, operating room or other specialty modality.

  8. Leads, coaches, and mentors staff members.

  9. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

  10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT

Other Information:

Required: Maintains current knowledge of professional discipline & educational methodologies through continuing professional development.

Minimum Experience: one year

Desired: Experience with patient care in a radiology setting. Specialty certification.

Working Conditions:

Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity

Occupational: Significant occupational risk

Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force

Physical Environment: Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
