Join us for this incredible opportunity to be part of our Human Resources team as the Assistant Director of Human Resources at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans.
The Assistant Director of Human Resource should have HR generalist knowledge, and be versed in the areas of benefits, workforce planning, recruitment and staffing strategies, wage and salary administration, associate and labor relations, workforce training and development, and local diversity initiatives. This highly visible role assists in short- and long-term planning of the HR function and is heavily involved in executing the HR initiatives.
Responsiibilities include:
Recruiting and Staffing strategies in partnership w/ Talent Acquisition and Dir. Of HR
Salary workup oversight partnership w/ Talent Acquisition and Dir. Of HR
Exchange Visitors program oversight partnership w/ HR Coordinator
Training needs analysis and coordination with HR Coordinator
Workers comp and safety oversight/investigation/difficult cases
Coaching and Counseling
Day to day HR office operations
Day to day department guidance
Presence in the department pre-shifts (overall operations)
Market analysis (new hotels, competitors, rates of pay)
Succession Planning

Qualifications:
Ability to function effectively and multitask in a fast paced environment
Refined verbal and written communication skills.
Professional presentation skills
Degree from an accredited university
3 years Human Resource Leadership experience
Knowledge of HRIS
Hospitality background a plus
Hyatt background a plus
