Actalent Floating Phlebotomist in New Port Richey, Florida

Job Title: Floating Phlebotomist

Job Description

We are seeking a professional Phlebotomist with 2 years of recent experience. The successful candidate will need to have reliable transportation to float between various locations 1-6 times per month. OBGYN experience is preferred. The role involves using butterfly needles on children and elderly patients and entering data into computer systems. The candidate must be comfortable working independently. A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. The candidate must also be proficient with straight needles and comfortable performing venipunctures on their own from day one.

Hard Skills

  • 1.5-2 years of recent professional phlebotomy experience

  • Proficient with butterfly and straight needles

  • Data input

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

  • High School Diploma or GED

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in New Port Richey, Florida.

Work Environment

The role requires availability between 6am-5pm, not including drive time. The successful candidate will float to different locations in Florida such as Sarasota, Jacksonville, and Melbourne 1-6 times per month, and potentially as far as Panama City. Reimbursement is provided for drive time, mileage, tolls, and hotels, as well as $75/day for meals. The home base is New Port Richey.
