Bloomberg Control and Reporting Manager - Operational Resilience in New York, New York
What’s the role?
Robust risk management is an ongoing point of differentiation and strength for Bloomberg as expectations of regulators, clients, and other external partners continue to evolve. We are looking for a First Line OpRes Control and Reporting Manager, responsible for managing the lifecycle of controls owned by or supporting the OpRes Program and reporting on risk and mitigation activities.
We’ll trust you to:
Own the overall controls vision for the OpRes Program, including partnering with the Business and internal stakeholders to develop, prioritize, and build out control frameworks
Conduct risk assessments to identify both current and emerging risks, set Key Performance Indicators (“KPIs”), measure performance toward KPIs, and create reporting to show progress
Drive standardization and efficiency of reporting,identifying datarequired to gain an understanding of the overall health of the OpRes Program and create ad hoc reports and visualizations to answer specific business questions, support regulatory and audit exams
Present findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner using appropriate visualization and storytelling techniques
Prepare regular reports for executive committees and board meetings that are accurate, complete, and up to date, allowing management to make informed decisions
Develop and maintain strong relationships with those across the broader risk management agenda including Enterprise Risk, Legal and Compliance, Internal Audit
You’ll need to have:
8+ years of experience in risk management or controls and policy space
Ability to make/recommend decisions on limited information
Ability to multi-task and manage an evolving set ofpriorities
Experience preparing Board-level presentations with strong attention to detail
Ability to develop and promote relationships and engagement without direct reporting line authority
Sound judgment and an ability to serve as a strategic partner - suggesting new ideas, accepting, and implementing feedback, and advising stakeholders (of all management levels) on status of work
Excellent written and oral communication skills
We’d love to see:
Experience working on regulatory / compliance projects or programs
Strong collaborator who understands the complexity of entertaining multiple audiences and navigating their diverse interests and goals
Ability to get up to speed quickly on business priorities, and organizational structure
