How will you make an impact in this role?

Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the leading payments provider for businesses and corporations of all sizes, with small business being the largest customer segment and a continued area of investment and focus. The Small Business Marketing Team is responsible for acquisition and customer engagement marketing for all Small Business Charge, Proprietary Lending, and Co-brand cards.

Within Small Business Marketing, the Customer Growth Marketing Team is responsible for deepening engagement with our existing Customers to accelerate growth and momentum for the business. The Director of Direct Marketing Channels will define our Customer channel and treatment strategy across Email and Direct Mail and collaborate with partners across the enterprise to deliver results through improved channel performance and processes. The Director will lead a large team of versatile marketers and must have a passion for people leadership and a proven ability to motivate and inspire impactful teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a clear and compelling marketing strategy for both Email and Direct Mail to deliver on current year targets and position the channels for ongoing, multi-year growth

  • Define opportunities to profitably grow revenue across a suite of products and treatments; including, enhancements to offers, targeting, creative, conversion journeys, and channel-specific tests and capabilities innovations

  • Lead channel forecasting and results analysis; optimize channels and flex plans as needed to meet investment and performance objectives

  • Build and cultivate relationships with internal partners and external agencies to identify, prioritize, and implement growth opportunities (incl. GCS Marketing, GCS AIM, Product, Risk, EDDS, Consumer, etc.)

  • Develop comprehensive understanding of channel landscape both internally and externally to support ideation and innovation

  • Ensure team adherence to relevant marketing processes and controls

  • Lead and develop a team of 14 FTEs 6 Marketing Operations Analysts

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8 years of experience across Marketing, Product, Strategy, or a function with transferrable skills

  • Ability to think strategically, assess critical business needs, and identify actionable solutions

  • Analytical approach with expertise in using data to make decisions, prioritize, and demonstrate impact

  • Robust financial acumen with the ability to evaluate ROI, define a strategy to deliver on targets, and drive profitable growth

  • Outstanding influencing and negotiating skills, with the ability to manage both internal and external relationships across varying remits

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment

  • Energetic leader who models resilience and optimism in the face of challenges

  • Exceptional people leader who can empower and coach a team to succeed, and invest in talent across the team, specifically in career and development

Qualifications

Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
