The Director, Global Product Management, ID/AST – Microbiology for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for responsible for global product management for ID/AST, Microbiology. Thie role will be responsible for leading the marketing launch strategy and all commercialization activities for new product launches inclusive of develop specific marketing plans and activities to drive product awareness and thought-leadership, leading a team of global product managers in the commercialization execution of market research, competitive activity, product messaging, value proposition, and pricing strategies that drive product adoption and work with a cross-functional team to drive the implementation of tactical marketing programs and market development activities. This role will partner with Open Innovation, Global Commercial Marketing, Scientific Affairs, R&D and our commercial sales teams to pull in insights to build out our future roadmap.

This position is part of the Microbiology Operating Company nested within Beckman Coulter and located in West Sacramento, CA and will be remote. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Global Marketing Team and report to the Sr. Director, Marketing and PMO responsible for leading the vision and strategy to drive business impact and execution of projects/partnerships to enhance the product portfolio to further customer engagement. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

· Create and own Beckman Coulter’s global marketing strategy and value propositions for Beckman Coulter’s Microbiology’s IS/AST solutions.

· Collaborate with the business unit, regional marketing, and cross-functional colleagues to drive new product revenue associated with individual product launches and launch metrics outlined for launch excellence success.

· Led a team of Global Product Managers in the execution of Beckman Coulters New Product Launch Excellence Process, which includes the development of the marketing plan, value propositions, clear market segmentation, claims matrix, persona map, pricing, and commercialization action plan.

· Drive robust competitive intelligence analysis and Voice of Customer research to enable competitive go-to-market positioning, messaging, and tactics; Monitor competitor movement, find gaps, differentiators, and areas of growth and focus and build strategies to ensure effective market positioning and drive growth.

· Support the implementation of marketing development programs, including sponsored symposiums, user groups, podium presence, and grand rounds sponsorships.

· Refine user needs and design inputs to ensure products are competitive and function as intended according to standards set by Beckman Coulter and external governing bodies.

· Drive adoption and implementation of effective daily management tools and standard work in all Marketing functions and activities, using DBS tools and benchmarking best practices in Danaher and external companies.

The essential requirements of the job include:

· Bachelor’s degree in field with 14+ years related exp. OR Master’s degree in field with 12+ years related exp. OR Doctoral degree in field with 9+ years related exp;

· Requires a minimum of 10 years of successful marketing / product manager experience with increasing responsibilities

· Related experience includes 6+ years of people leadership experience, ideally in a matrix and global environment

· Multiple cycles of new product launch or market development practices in microbiology sector, especially ID/AST, including development of the marketing plan, value propositions, claims matrix, persona map, pricing, and commercialization action plan

· Maintains a strong grasp of the healthcare landscape, regulatory, reimbursement, and patient pathways across multiple disease states

· Demonstrated experience in leading cross-function global teams, influencing, developing, and motivating people from diverse backgrounds to drive results

· Ability to travel (domestic and internationally) approximately 25% (onsite role) or up to 50% for remote role

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Regional Marketing or Product Management experience

  • Experience working with global markets outside the United States

  • Danaher Business Systems

The salary range for this role is $180,000 to $210,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
