Facilities Operator

POSITION SUMMARY

The Facilities Operator, as directed by the Facilities Manager, is responsible for day-to-day requests and a variety of maintenance projects.

This position is based at the 285 Madison Avenue office in Manhattan.

RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to: Facilities Manager

Other Key Relationships: Sr. Director Facilities, Housekeeping Manager

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond to and correct any dispatched problems.

  • Moving office and showroom furniture and related items. Setting up associate desks.

  • Inspect and change light bulbs in offices, hallways, and reception areas.

  • Respond to HVAC requests and or problems; adjust settings on the BMS.

  • Inspect and repair architectural damage (corner beads, door closures, door frames and hardware, etc.).

  • Minor construction such as building full height partition, relocating doors and hardware, shelving, painting, etc.

  • Minor plumbing and electrical repairs.

  • Inspecting plumbing and electrical problems and reporting to the Facilities Manager for further investigation and creating ticket (building engines) on the landlord website for building issues.

  • Cleaning in the event of an emergency.

  • Assisting the Facilities Receptionist with events calendar, inclusive of Set-ups for special events/conference room meetings and showrooms on TH premises.

  • Inspecting facilities for damage and conducting preventative maintenance to basic facility needs.

  • Moving, setting up and troubleshooting video conference gear.

  • Assisting Mailroom team when required inclusive of copy machine maintenance/areas.

CRITERIA/PROFILE

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in Construction or Building Management.

  • High School Diploma

  • Able to move furniture and related equipment.

  • Installation of metal shelving and assembly equipment such as electric saws, power drills, etc.

  • Knowledge of minor construction and repair of sheetrock walls, ceiling tile patch, and misc. carpentry.

  • Customer-service oriented.

  • Able to be part of the fire response team. Help conduct drills, etc.

  • Strong Communication skills; including email, verbal, and written communication.

  • Able to read tape measure.

  • Keep uniform and workspace neat and clean.

  • Must be organized

  • Working knowledge of MS products (Word, Excel, PP, etc.)

Pay Range:$50,000 - $60,000

PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
