Project Stream Lead – TD Securities Data, Delivery and Integration (GTB Delivery Team)

JOB DESCRIPTION

The GTB Delivery Team within the TDS Data, Delivery and Integration group is responsible for end-to-end delivery of projects impacting the Global Transaction Banking (GTB) business of TD Securities (TDS). Projects in this space will be in support of various business-driven, regulatory, and industry initiatives. To deliver on this mandate, the team partners closely with stakeholder groups from across TD including members of the GTB businesses, GTB technology, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Payments Technology and others.

The Project Stream Lead is accountable to the Project Delivery Lead for the successful delivery of a distinct project and/or workstream, across all aspects of a project in alignment with the project and business and/or enterprise strategies. The Project Stream Lead provides leadership, direction and coaching to teams(s) while partnering with the Leadership team and project stakeholders.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Structure and manage detailed end-to-end implementation plans, holding stakeholders accountable for progressing against established scope/timelines while providing timely and effective communication on project status, risks, issues, analyses/findings to Project Delivery Lead(s) and senior-level audiences.

  • Facilitate detailed requirements discussions across stakeholder groups and promote optimal testing plan/strategies.

  • Formulate recommendations regarding delivery/implementation approach after consultation with key stakeholder groups on estimated effort, resource availability, cross-project dependencies and other implementation constraints.

  • Proactively identify and manage cross-stakeholder group interdependencies.

  • Ability to consume domain / subject matter expertise quickly in differing spaces.

  • Experience with project management tools, specifically Confluence & JIRA as must-haves.

  • Able to understand business needs, then guide the scrum teams to capture appropriate epics or stories.

  • Present solution options and project status to the leadership, represent project team in decision group meetings working closely with product owner and SMEs.

  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience with Agile development frameworks

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCES

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead/manage projects with wide breadth of cross-stakeholder impacts and in an agile framework.

  • Experience with Corporate Cash Management, Corporate Treasury, or Transaction Banking is strongly preferred.

  • Superior organizational skills, including ability to employ systematic approach for identifying and tracking dependencies, ensuring proper resolution of outstanding items, and structuring efficient stakeholder meetings/discussions.

  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), including ability to formulate concise and impactful methods of communication.

  • Demonstrated experience of Confluence and JIRA.

  • Experience with formal requirements elicitation, analysis techniques, process design, re-engineering, and implementation.

  • Advanced data manipulation skills - ability to investigate and derive findings/conclusions from large data sets.

  • Demonstrated ability to consistently apply expert judgment with available information when proposing solutions/recommendations.

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree or progressive work experience in addition to experience below

  • 5-7 Years of related experience

  • Demonstrated track record of cost, quality and schedule control of projects

  • Proven ability to effectively manage projects

  • In-depth knowledge of construction standards, work methods, equipment and materials, operating practices and applicable codes

  • Expert analytical, interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills

  • PC proficiency in MS Access, MS Word, MS Excel and MS Project scheduling software

Depth & Scope:

  • Leads overall project delivery, ensuring alignment to established cost, timing, deliverable and scope objectives

  • Provides leadership, direction and coaching to cross-functional project teams(s) while partnering with business and executive stakeholders across multiple Lines of Business (LoB)

  • Manages on-going communication and status reporting to key stakeholders

  • Creates, updates, and maintains the project management system for all assigned projects

  • Produces and maintains accurate project schedules for each project

  • Produces accurate budgets for each project

  • Proactively identifies and tracks project risk and develops mitigation plans to manage risk (i.e., risk related to technology, change management, procurement, business process management, requirements management)

  • Monitors and controls Project Financials as well as accurate and timely updates to the banks enterprise reporting system

  • Represents the company at public hearings

  • Communicates key issues and provide solutions while ensuring project coordination and overall execution of the strategy. Conducts regular communication with all professionals to pre-plan activities on a given project

  • Manages the project bidding process and reviews all proposals with recommendations for contract award

  • Ensures adherence to plans, specifications and contract requirements. Ensures meeting minutes are compiled and punch lists are completed for all key project milestones

  • Ensures 100% compliance to enterprise project methodology and recognized project management processes, ensuring discipline and controls are consistently applied to all projects

  • Adhering to enterprise project gating and governance controls to ensure that projects meet all the performance, quality and compliance standards
