Job Description

The Clinic Nurse Manager is responsible for administering, directing, planning, and coordinating all staff and activities at the Medical Office. This licensed professional works collaboratively with the Medical Group physicians and practice managers to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and accessible patient care services.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science with a major in nursing and master?s degree in nursing or healthcare-related field or be enrolled in a program preferred or enrolled within a year.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive clinical and nursing expertise on a clinical Med/surg, respiratory or ambulatory setting.

  • 3-5 years of progressive management/leadership experience/success required.

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

Licensing and Certification Requirements (if applicable)

  • Licensed as a registered nurse, Issuing Agency: Department of Health/Office of Professions in the state of New York.

  • Basic Life Support (BCLS) Issuing Agency: AHA

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for the administrative and operational oversight of 20 staff members

  2. Manage the daily operations of the medical office, activities, and schedules.

  3. Staff management, recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training, counseling, evaluation, disciplining, and terminating in conformance with organizational policies and procedures.

  4. Administers office policies and procedures in a consistent and timely manner.

  5. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves work-related problems and issues.

  6. Monitors compliance with established approved budgets, ensuring effective resource utilization.

  7. Manages office billing procedures, including but not limited to, patient registration, encounter processing and reconciliation, and charge entry.

  8. Manage relationships with outside vendors to ensure contract compliance and effective levels of support.

  9. Responds to patient concerns. Promotes quality patient care and service.

  10. Collects data, prepares reports, analyzes statistics and budget reports, and answers correspondence as needed.

  11. Serves on organizational committees and attends management meetings as requested.

  12. Participates in professional development activities.

  13. Adheres to all Mount Sinai Compliance Program Policies and Procedures including all regulatory financial and OSHA requirements. Participates in and contributes to help achieve a total compliance program.

  14. Manages assigned projects as directed.

  15. Performs other duties as required.

  16. Manage inventory, supplies, and medication orders

Compensation Statement

Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $104995 - $157492 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
