Role Overview:
An area of focus in the Home Office is helping our financial professional effectively plan for succeeding their business and efficiently execute their succession plan. We are looking for an Assistant Product Manager to join our team and support the continuous improvement of our Succession Planning Program for our financial professionals. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about driving product development, managing enhancements, and ensuring that updates meet both business goals and user needs.
What You’ll Do:
As an Assistant Product Manager, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers to ensure the successful delivery of program updates and improvements. You will also be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of helping our financial professionals plan and succeed their business.
Assist the Product Manager in managing the enhancements and changes to significantly improve our current Succession Planning Program.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, customers, and development teams, to gather and analyze requirements for new features and enhancements.
Support the creation, refinement, and documentation of user stories, acceptance criteria, and other key product artifacts.
Facilitate communication between development, design, and business teams, ensuring all parties are informed of progress and any potential issues.
Ensure all tasks are properly prioritized and aligned with business goals and ensuring that milestones are achieved on schedule.
Provide day-to-day support to agents, Managing Partners, and Field Management, addressing inquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure that all action items are accomplished timely accurately within NYL standards while looking for opportunities to continuously improve processes and test new approaches.
Assist the Product Manager in preparing presentations and reports for senior leadership, highlighting key product metrics and updates.
What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience.
5+ years of relevant experience.
Minimum of 3 years of program management experience for complex programs, impacting multiple stakeholder groups.
Ability to improve current processes/systems, including user experience, workflow, task automation.
Analytical skills and ability to develop basic reporting.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in MS office suite.
Ability to communicate and build effective relationships.

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
