Gemini Space Station seeks Site Reliability Engineer in New York, NY.Duties: Design and develop Gemini platform services. Ensure systems can scale and react to changing conditions with continuous improvement loops. Review and recommend design decisions and drive the engineering team to implement modern automation and operational tooling. Conduct performance evaluations and improvements for the platform systems. Engage in the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle). Define SLIs (Service Level Indicators) and SLOs (Service Level Objectives). Create production-ready scorecards to evaluate the health of systems pre-launch. Utilize monitoring, alerting, and automation tooling to remediate performance and health issues in systems at scale. Build operational tooling and automated solutions to solve support and operational issues. Guide engineering teams on reliability and resiliency best practices. Position based at headquarters and may be assigned to unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. as determined by management. Telecommuting permitted.Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or foreign equivalent) plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered, as a DevOps Engineer, or related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or foreign equivalent), plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered, as a DevOps Engineer, or related occupation.Special Requirements: Position requires experience with each of the following skills: 1. Utilizing monitoring, alerting, and automation tooling to remediate performance and health issues in systems at scale. 2. Working with containerization, such as Nomad, EKS (k8s), or Docker. 3. Writing scripts or CLI tools that help increase Developer Productivity. 4. Analyzing system and application performance, identifying bottlenecks, and recommending architectural or systemic improvements.Employment and background checks may be required.$210,000 to $230,000 per year.
