The Security Receptionist will use exceptional observation and decision-making skills to protect the security of an establishment by monitoring visitor activity and watching for suspicious behavior. Qualified applicants will need an understanding of office technology and office software, and personable driven in great customer service.

ON THE JOB:

Your responsibilities as a Security Receptionist may vary from day to day. The following list contains, but is not limited to common responsibilities for daily operations:

  • Work station in the Lobby, ensuring egress corridors are accessible.

  • Checked-In authorized personnel onsite.

  • Utilize office software's such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Word Document.

  • Monitoring access control and challenging those without proper identification.

  • Maintaining the visitor management system, checking visitors, guest.

  • Issuing badges and access cards and maintaining secure logs.

  • Monitoring a CCTV system.

  • Handling incoming calls and emails.

    TO SUCCEED AT METRO ONE:

  • Have excellent interpersonal communication skills in customer service.

  • Ability to interact with the public in a direct and professional manner.

  • High level of awareness, attentiveness, and alertness

  • Ability to deescalate situations and remain calm in confrontation with emergency situations.

  • Capable of standing for long periods of time and exhibiting physical strength.

  • Astute observation and detailed notetaking/reporting

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Have a solid/stable work history. No more than 3 jobs in the past 6 years. Supplemental jobs acceptable.

  • Must be willing to undergo pre-employment screening process such as d rug Testing and Background screening

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a customer service position

  • California Guard Card

  • Security, Military, Corrections, or Law Enforcement experience is a PLUS.
