Description
We are looking for a highly skilled AP/Payroll Specialist to join our team located in Newton, Massachusetts on a part time basis (32 hours a week; 4 days a week 8:30am-5pm).
The chosen candidate will be part of a team that handles accounting functions in the senior care community industry. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and requires on-site work.
Responsibilities:
• Full-cycle AP management & processing including vendor management, invoicing, and check runs
• Payroll processing for a mix of salaried and hourly employees
• Administration of expense reports
• Assisting in monthly and year-end closing
• Building business unit partnerships and managing vendors
• Overseeing cash management and check deposits
• Utilizing ERP Solutions, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Budget Processes, Paycom, and Customer Service skills to perform daily tasks and responsibilities
• Prioritizing tasks and pivoting quickly in response to changing business needs
• Maintaining professional communication and providing excellent customer service.
Requirements • Must be proficient in ERP Solutions
• Ability to perform general Accounting Functions
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
• Knowledge of Budget Processes is a must
• Familiarity with Paycom software
• Should possess strong Customer Service skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Must adhere to strict confidentiality and data privacy rules
• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred but not required.
