Robert Half Attorney/Lawyer in Niles, Illinois

Description We are searching for an Insurance Industry Contract Attorney to join our team. This role primarily involves providing legal advice and assistance across the organization, specifically related to insurance matters. The work location is fully remote. The employment type for this role is a contract.

Responsibilities:

• Provide reliable and practical legal advice and assistance across the organization, especially related to quota share, agent agreements, and re-insurance.

• Use your extensive knowledge of insurance contracts to review, draft, negotiate, and finalize various types of agreements for the insurance business.

• Handle all aspects of legal contractual matters from initial advice on contract terms and conditions through to closure and documentation.

• Collaborate with other internal departments, such as sales, operations, HR, and finance to ensure all necessary approvals and due diligence have been completed prior to finalizing agreements.

• Protect the company by ensuring adherence to all laws, regulations and any specific contractual obligations.

• Conduct and coordinate research into a variety of legal issues related to insurance.

• Provide training to the company on contractual matters relating to insurance.

• Manage cases using Case Management Software and other legal software.

• Ensure proper documentation and briefing of all legal matters.

• Negotiate contracts utilizing your expertise in Insurance Law and Contract Negotiation. Requirements • Possess a valid license to practice law

• Proficient in Case Management Software and Legal Software

• Familiar with Management Systems

• Able to conduct Briefing and Documentation tasks effectively

• Specialized knowledge in Insurance Law

• Proven experience in Contract Negotiation

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong ethical and professional standards

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Good understanding of confidentiality and data privacy standards in legal proceedings

• Excellent critical thinking abilities and decision-making skills

• Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships

• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
