About the job:

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues have become increasingly important for all stakeholders. The Energy & ESG Managed Services Team is responsible for client data integrity, advanced utility data management and validation. Engaging and supporting clients at both the portfolio and property level, this team is responsible for portfolio-level Energy & ESG reporting, utility consumption and cost modeling, and providing strategic guidance with respect to net zero carbon planning and targeting.

The Team Lead supports the Manager, Energy & ESG Services with a range of team organization, planning and development activities (resource & workload management, hiring & onboarding, training, mentoring etc.) while maintaining a hands-on role delivering high-quality energy and sustainability related services to clients. They are also involved in improving processes, refining tools, and bolstering team capability to ensure the delivery excellent work and successful outcomes for our clients.

What you’ll be doing

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Responsible for day-to-day prioritization, performance, and productivity of the operations of the team.

  • Possess in-depth product knowledge and understanding of client needs.

  • Develop and coach team members on best practices, training, documentation, and service delivery.

  • Provide recommendations for product & service enhancements to enable growth.

  • Be involved and support scope development and level of effort analysis.

  • Use creative thought leadership to design and execute plans for improvements to drive an efficient, high-quality, and consistent approach to service delivery.

  • Work collaboratively and communicate across the organization and within the Energy & Sustainability team.

  • Be involved in team level planning as well as other important discussions/decisions related to team-level operations.

  • Ensures their team is focused on the right things, are clear in expectations, and consistently delivers on their commitments to clients.

What you need

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in managed services.

  • A strong interest in people management and supporting the success of teams. Known for helping peers gain more confidence and proficiency in their roles through your accessibility, willingness to collaborate and supportive nature.

  • Has a track record of successfully delivering quality analysis and complex technical deliverables for a variety of projects.

  • Capable of successfully developing and executing plans to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

  • Excellent time management, decision-making and critical thinking skills with an eye for continuous improvement.

  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to motivate and inspire team collaboration for continued growth.

  • Experience with SQL, MS Office suite and products such as MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
