Job Title: Senior Tax Accountant
Job Description
Small accounting firm is seeking an intermediate accountant to grow with their team. You will assist with returns and audits during tax season and handle general accounting and payroll needs of clients year-round. Day-to-day tasks will be determined based on your strengths and could include payroll specialization, income tax, audit, etc. The main focus is to onboard someone with tax accounting experience who is eager to grow and eventually become a Partner in the firm. You will manage 50-60 customers/accounts annually, work 50-60 hours plus during tax season, process tax returns, handle payroll for customers, and provide audit and tax services.
Hard Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Experience utilizing Excel (Vlookups, pivot tables, adhoc reporting, and spreadsheets)
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in North Barrington, Illinois.
Work Environment
Small team of 12 individuals handling all forms of customers. The firm is tight-knit and willing to train on anything you are eager to learn. Very busy up to the April 18th deadline, after which things lighten up, allowing you to utilize flex time.
